Accessible public transit

LGA is connected by accessible public transportation, including wheelchair-accessible buses that operate throughout the airport. The MTA buses are accessible and feature ramps for wheelchairs. Many stations are ADA accessible, and the MTA continues to expand accessibility across the system. The buses connect travelers to the subway, LIRR and Metro-North Railroad.

Accessible parking

Parking spaces for travelers with disabilities are available in every parking lot near the terminal entrance, subject to availability. Vehicles must prominently display a non-expired, state-issued ADA license plate, placard, or permit. Violators will be towed. A courtesy discount is available to customers with official, non-expired, state-issued ADA license plates, placards, or permits.

  • The discount applies only after parking for a minimum duration of 4.5 hours.
  • Charges are incurred in 30-minute increments until the daily maximum is reached.
  • Do not enter via E-ZPass lanes. You must enter through the ticket lane and pull a ticket.
  • The discount cannot be used with prebooked reservations or E-ZPass payment.
  • Upon exit, press the HELP button to speak with an attendant. They will validate your ADA tag and adjust your fee to reflect the discount.
  • ADA accessible spaces can’t be reserved. Premium reserved parking areas are the next most convenient spaces if all accessible parking spaces are full.
